Famous Malayalam Film Actress Kavya Madhavan got married on Feb 05, 2009 at Kollur Mookambika Temple. Her groom's name is Nischal Chadramohan. After marriage, they returned to Kerala by Airlines. She is now at Nishchal's new home named 'Jyothi'. There will be a reception at Le Meridian, Kochi on the 9th. and another reception at Kavya’s native place, Neeleswaram, on February 12.

Both Kavya and Nischal will go to Kuwait shortly.

Kavya Marriage Date Announced

It is reported that the marriage of Kavya Madhavan, the top heroine of Malayalam film industry has been fixed. The wedding will take place on February 5th at the famous Mookambika temple, followed by a reception at Le Meridian, Kochi on the 9th. There will be yet another reception at Kavya’s native place, Neeleswaram, on February 12.

According to reports, Nischal Chandra who works for International Bank of Kuwait as Technical Advisor will tie knot with one of the talented young artists of Kerala during the first half of 2009. He was born to Chandra Mohan and Mani Mohan in Kuwait. He was the alumni Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram. He is a graduate in Computer Engineering and Masters Degree in Telecommunications.
Nischal has performed as child actor for films like Kizhakkunarum Pakshi, Elavankodu Desham, Gaandharvam, Ayitham and Aham.

In an interview given to a private television channel Kavya said, the date for the marriage has not been fixed so far and she is happy to marry a person who can understand cinema and shares the same interests.

Now Kavya is busy acting in ‘Pattanathil Bhootham’, the Mammootty-starrer directed by Johnny Antony, at present.

New Film Pattanathil Bhootham

After completing her new film 'Benaras’, Kavya will start her next film 'Pattanathil Bhootham' by the end of this December. The movie scripted by Udhay Krisshna - Sibi K Thomas team will be directed by one of their best friends in the industry - Johnny Antony.

Bhootham, planned as a humorous fantasy thriller, tells the story of Jimmy, an adventure bike rider in a circus, who accidentally gets some supernatural powers, with which he tries to fight the baddies of society. Reports say that Mammootty will attempt some daredevil acts of a bike racer in this film.

For the first time in her career, Kavya Madhavan will be the heroine role opposite Mammootty in Pattanathil Bhootham which most probably will be her last film, since she is likely to tie knot in March, 2009 with Nischal Chandra, a computer engineer working in National Bank of Kuwait as Technical adviser.

Also in the Pattanathil Bhootham cast are Jagathy Sreekumar, Innocent, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Salim Kumar and others. Pattanathil Bhootham is expected to grace the theatres during Vishu, 2009. After Love in Bangkok, Mammootty will also complete the final portions of director Hariharan's Pazhassi Raja, a magnum opus historical film about Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja.

New film Banaras

The upcoming Malayalam flick ‘Banaras’, starring Vineeth and Kavya Madhavan in the lead role has completed its second schedule of shooting in Thiruvananthapuram district. The film will arrive at the theatres in January 2009. The film is directed by Nemam Pushparaj. Vineeth plays Hari, a research student on folk dances. Kavya Madhavan plays the role of Amritha, a classical dancer. Most part of the shooting has been done in Banaras.

Banaras is an offbeat love story, flowering in the backdrop of pilgrim centres in and around Banaras. Hari, the only son of a Malayalee professor had been working in Banaras University, was born in Banaras, but brought to his father's native place in Kerala after the death of his mother at the time of Hari's birth. Later, his father married another woman to look after Hari. His parents want Hari to marry his niece Devu who is in love with him, but Hari's ambition is to return Banaras for higher studies in folk dance. In Banaras, he meets Amritha, a classical dancer, during a function conducted by a Malayalee association. They became friends and eventually fall in love with each other.

The film is produced by M.R. Nair under the banner of Kashi films. Music has an important role to play in the film. M. Jayachandran composes the music music to lyrics by Giresh Puthencherry. K.J. Yesudas, Sadhana Sargam and Shreya Goshal have rendered the songs. Camera is handled by M. Sukumar. Jagathy Sreekumar, Nedumudi Venu, Devan, Bineesh Kodiyeri, Harisree Asokan and Suraj Vejaramoodu are also in the cast.
