Gossip : Kavya Madhavan attempted suicide ??
Kavya in music album
Kavya Madhavan, who recently captured headlines for having written a Mappilapattu which was later adapted to the new film One Way Ticket by film-makers Babu Janardhanan and Bibin Prabhakar, is now planning to bring out an exclusive album of her songs. Another highlight of the album is that one song will be set to music by Kavya herself.
It is learnt that she may even sing a song for her untitled album, which will be released by the end of this year. The other songs will be set to music by young musicians Arun and Anoop.
“I first wrote a poem when I was in my ninth standard. I used to write a lot during my school days. I expect to bring out this album by the end of this year,'' says Kavya, who is presently shooting for Madambi, her first role as heroine opposite Superstar Mohanlal.
Kavya Madhavan is a youth festival 'Kalathilakam', and a trained classical dancer who participated in numerous competitions and won prizes during her school days. So, Kavya has now revealed another talent which could lead to her becoming a lyric writer in Malayalam cinema.
Kavya Madhavan, we hear, was a bright-headed girl before she ventured into films. In fact, this young actress can boast of numerous academic and cultural feats before making it big before the camera.
And her latest feat is believed to be as that of a lyricist. Surprised! Well, this multi-talented Mallu beauty happened to script the lyrics of a song that apparently attracted the interest of actor Prithviraj who later insisted Babu Janardhanan and Bibin Prabhakar, the makers of his new film ‘One Way Ticket’ to introduce this lyrics in his film. And from what is learnt now, Kavya Madhavan’s lyrics have been accepted and styled to Rahul Raj’s tune, who is the musician-in-charge here.
This definitely came as a pat for Kavya who now intends to launch her own music album soon that apart from boasting of lyrics by her will also see her dole out the music for one of the tracks. What more, Kavya also has plans to croon for this untitled album as well. With music by Arun and Anoop, this album is likely to hit the stores by the end of 2008.
Kavya skips ‘One Way Ticket’ !!!
Prithviraj’s ‘One way Ticket’ is in news again and this time it’s the leading lady of the film who is creating the entire buzz. This film, which was earlier believed to star Kavya Madhavan in the lead, will now go to the floors without her. Budding star Bhama will play her part instead.
Kavya who had to opt out of the film owing to time constraints has freed her call sheets for Mohanlal starrer ‘Maadambi’ and AMMA’s ‘Twenty Twenty’ instead. And from what we hear now, she will no longer be a part of this Bipin Prabhakar film.
Scripted by renowned writer Babu Janardhan, this film is all set to start rolling towards the end of March. Prithviraj plays an auto driver in this film who is an ardent fan of Mammootty. Earlier he had played an auto driver in ‘Kangaroo’ as well.

Kavya Madhavan Going to Tollywood ???
Kavya Madhavan took a long time to finalize about her reentry to Kollywood, last year. she finally came out of the Dileep camp after starring with him in 15 films, as the actress and the audience found their pair too stale, seeing them regularly for the last four years.
Then, she was rushed with offers from Kollywood, of which she selected one with the ace Malayalee director Siddhique ‘Sadhu Mirandaal’. She lost much of her weight and appeared in a gorgeous new looks in the film.
Since Tamil film industry continues to be crazy about heroines from Kerala, Kavya is presently enjoying great popularity in Kollywood, as every media is giving reports that her 'Sadhu Mirandaal' has shaped up well.
2007 had her in very few films in Mollywood. But she was more than happy to grab the attention with her dual roles in the hit film 'Nadhiya Kollapetta Raathri'. She also made her dream come true by appearing in a short role in celebrated director Adoor's 'Naalu Pennungal'. The actress had another release in Malayalam in recent times in 'Kangaroo' in which her role was also much appreciated.
And now Tollywood too has gained interests in her and have started approaching her with offers to star in their films.
Reports suggest that Kavya may pay heed to the proposals of one or two big names from Telugu. With such great talents in emoting that Kavya imbibes, it will not be a matter to predict her success. She is sure to earn big names in other South Indian languages as her contemporaries had made, recently.
Kavya Madhavan's New Projects with Mohanlal & Mammooty
Malluwood’s reigning queen Kavya Madhavan has finally found herself a safe haven. The actress who had been living in hearts of millions of her fans till now finally moved to a grand mansion last week.
It’s interesting to note that in the span of her flourishing career the actress barely ever got the chance to team up as heroine to box-office stalwarts like Mammootty and Mohanlal. In fact all her hits were with the young hit brigade like Prithviraj, Dileep and Jayasurya.
However, Kavya is all set to break the lull now with her forthcoming flick ‘Madambi’. The actress who pairs up as Mohanlal’s love interest in this film is elated at this prospect. Expressing her high over the offer Kavya quips, “ I’m thrilled to be Lalettan’s heroine in ‘Madambi’. It is a dream comes true for me. I have played his sister or sister –in-law in films like ‘Onnaman’, ‘Killukkam Kilukilukkam’, ‘Vadukkumnathan’, but never his heroine.”
To be directed by B. Unnikrishnan this film will star her in a fleshy role. Kavya’s character in this film will be called Jayalakshmi who enters the proceedings out of nowhere with the sole aim to sabotage the hero’s totalitarian rule but ends up falling in love with him.
Also on the cards is another biggie with the mega star Mammootty. Kavya will play Mammootty’s romantic interest in Johnny Antony’s next mass entertainer ‘Pattanathil Bhootham’. Although Kavya had worked with the megastar earlier as a child artiste in ‘Azhagiya Ravanan’ and had done supporting roles in films like ‘Bhoothakannadi’, ‘Oral Matram’, ‘Raksharajavu’ and ‘Aparichithan’, however this would be the first instance when she would pair up as his heroine.
Best Actress Award for Kavya Madhavan
The latest award that the actor is fetching for 2007 is the Film Audience Council Awards, which was announced a couple of days back. The same movie ’Paradesi’ (directed by PT Kunju Mohammed) also won the award for best film of the year. Kavya Madhavan was selected as the best actress. Lal Jose's ‘Arabikatha' was named as the second best film of the year, while Ranjith won the award for the best director.
