Actor Dileep and his troupe did a month-long tour of the US, doing stage shows arranged by Tara Arts Vijayan. Top artists like Salim Kumar, Kalabhavan Mani, Nadir Shah, Kavya Madhavan, Subi, Bhavana, Rimi Tomy and Subi performed 16 shows in various cities like New Jersey, Boston, New York and Florida.
Stage shows by film artists are hugely popular in the US, where there is a huge Malayalee population. The three-hour stage shows usually consist of a comedy skit, mimicry, dance and a few popular songs.
The highlight of this tour was a hilarious skit, Kunjikoonante Adya Rathri, featuring Dileep, Kalabhavan Mani and Kavya Madhavan.
