Industries Minister Elamaram Karim will make the declaration at a function to be held on Kozhikode beach at 6 p.m. on March 1.
A. Pradeep Kumar, MLA, told presspersons on Sunday that Ms. Kavya had agreed to endorse the brand free of cost. The company, run by the Kerala State Industrial Enterprises (KSIE), was built in two phases.
It produces three brands of toilet soap — Kerala Sandal Soap, Thrill Chempakam and Thrill Exotica — and a washing soap, Washwell.
Three more brands, Vep, Kairali and Rhythm, would come out in March. The company also had plans to produce washing powder. Sample Soaps for Rs.5 and Rs.2 would be in market by May, the MLA said.
Managing Director of KSIE Feby Verghese said that an extensive network had been set up for marketing the company's products all over the State. The products were available in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and UAE.
Additional Chief Secretary T. Balakrishnan will deliver the keynote address at the function on Tuesday. Ms.Kavya will address the gathering.
Chairman of KSIE Skaria Thomas, Mayor A.K. Premajam and M.K. Raghavan, MP, will be present.
The function will be followed by a musical programme led by noted actor Kalabhavan Mani.
