This is a new theme to the malayalam film industry starring the upcoming superstar Prithviraj and directed by Major Ravi.Kavya's role is that of an IPS officer who investigates a murder case during day time and turns into a blood-thirsty 'yakshi' at night.

According to Major Ravi,this would surely be a challenge for Kavya and only she could do justice to the role, the director said.Prithviraj plays an exorcist, Devadathan Narsimhan, in the movie. Kavya and Prithviraj had starred in 'Ananthabhadram', a film by Santhosh Sivan in the backdrop of black magic.'Maadan Kolli' is scheduled to start shooting in December.

Kavya as IPS officer in new film Maadan Kolli

Major Ravi has offered Kavya Madhavan a role in his latest flick titled Maadan Kolli. In the horror film directed by Ravi, she plays Neelambari IPS.

This role would definitely be a challenging one for the actress. Prithviraj will play the role of an exorcist, Devadathan Narsimhan, who also holds an MBA degree. Both the characters have a negative touch and the crew believes that it would definitely click at the box office.

Kavya plays a ghost during night time an IPS officer during the day time. The shooting of the film will begin in December and will be a Vishu release.

Kavya Madhavan back in Films

Kavya has decided to come back to the tinsel world after bidding adieu to all the controversies. When all the controversies were doing the rounds, the actress was relieved by the offers she got. She rejected most of the offers as she wanted to choose the best.

At last, she decided to re-enter the industry by choosing the character offered by Joshi opposite Mohanlal. She is keeping herself busy now by attending inaugural functions. She recently attended an inaugural function in Kannur and Parakkat Jewels showroom in Kochi on August 24.

Her marriage to Nishal Chandra, a native of capital city and a bank official in Kuwait was held on February 05 at the Mookambika Temple.

Family problems started after she came back from her honeymoon in Egypt. The actress later decided to part ways with her husband. The actress has decided not to grab all the roles that come her way, she has decided to be choosy.

Latest news is that, Malayalam Film Actress Kavya Madhavan files Divorce against her Husband Nishal Chandran. News came in several sites but don't know its true or not. Find below the news came in Manorama Online.

There is no official confirmation about this from Kavya’s family or their Advocate, but sources close to them says that the marriage is on the rocks and Kavya who joined her husband in Kuwait is now back in Vennala, Cochin and is staying with her parents.
